Description Of Item: Round-eye lorgnette with gold-filled rims which fold together. Imitation tortoise-shell & metal handle with spring device to release the lenses for use. Glazed with R & L +2.50DS glass. Attached to the end of the handle is a 40cm 'gold' chain which retracts into a small round container box that can be pinned to the wearer's jacket. The lorgnette is contained in its original leather wallet case, gold embossed with the practice name of W.J.Aird Pty Ltd /Optician/ 82 Elizabeth St Melb. Lorgnette 11cm long, Case 15cm x 5.5cm
