Description Of Item: Collection of ten digital colour photographs of Professor Paul Martin, Director of the NVRI and his staff including Associate Professor Ulrike Grunert and Dr Jason Forte
Historical Significance: Professor Paul Martin was the Director of the NVRI from 2002 to 2009 during which time he lead a world class research program in the neural basis of colour vision. He came to the NVRI from the University of Sydney, where he had been since 1991 and during which time he was promoted to Associate Professor. He had previously worked at the Max Plank Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Gottingen, Germany, and the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research at Frankfurt. His PhD was in physiology obtained at the University of Sydney.
