Description Of Item: Heavy 'library' style spectacle frame, black, saddle bridge with heavy wide temples, exposed front and side joint rivets, right side designated 'Made in France'. Frame size 56/20, overall size 150 x 50 mm
Historical Significance: This was a frame style favoured by business men and academics in the 1960s. Morez is a commune of the Jura department in Franche-Comte in eastern France. The town is mostly known for the manufacture of spectacles. From 1680 to 1920, Morez was with Morbier the centre of Comtoise clock production.
