Historical Significance: Renato Balestra (born in Trieste 1924), is an Italian fashion designer. He first started studying civil engineering. He got into fashion thanks to a bet made with his friends. Without him knowing, his design went to Milan where it received praises from important figures in the fashion world at that time. His name has become associated with a diversity of haute couture products and commercial outlets.
