Description Of Item: Black plastic housing 168 W 120 H x 50 H mm with rectangular magnifying viewing lens. The housing contains two UV discharge lamps and 2 white fluorescent lamps (missing in this example) with black plastic handle 135 mm long. Coiled electrical lead and plug. Two switches on observers side for switching from UV to white light
Historical Significance: This instrument was used for observing the fit of hard contact lenses and corneal injuries using fluorescien dye instilled in the eye.
