Neville Turner, Director of Clinic Operations. Australian College of Optometry

Historical Significance: Neville Turner graduated as an optometrist from the University of Melbourne in 1990 and began his career as a staff optometrist in the Melbourne Optometry Clinic of the Australian College of Optometry. Over the years he has worked in many different areas of the organisation including managing a metropolitan clinic, involvement with low vision service provision, lecturing and clinical teaching. He provided expertise and important leadership in the development of IT technology in the Clinic and the College generally, including the construction of its first internet site of the College. He completed further post graduate studies including a Certificate for the Rehabilitation of the Partially Sighted, a Post Graduate Diploma of Advanced Clinical Optometry and a Graduate Certificate of Ocular Therapeutics. He is a Fellow of the College (FVCO). He became senior manager for clinic operations from 2007 and was appointed Director of Clinic Operations in 2010. He was acting Director of the Clinic in 2007 and 2010.
