Historical Significance: Myron Yanoff BA MD (University of Pennsylvania 1957, 1961) is a distinguished ophthalmologist and pathologist and the author of several well received text books, notably Ocular histology (1972), Ocular pathology: a text and atlas (1975). Textbook of ophthalmology (1991), Handbook of ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment (1998), all of which had several editions. He was Director of Pathology and Chair of Ophthalmology at Drexel University Philadephia and later Chair and Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Ben Fine was also a pathologist and ophthamologist at the George Washington University, Washington DC.
