Picture of the founder and managing director of the company, Penrhyn Thomas, inside front cover with an editorial, two technical articles by Penhryn Thomas and news items. Picture and biography of Geoffrey Roberts, Technical Manager of the Corneal Lens Corporation (a subsidary of Contact Lens International Ltd) on page 16. Undated but the year 1970 appears heading the editorial. Historical Significance: Penrhyn Thomas BSc(Opt Sc) FAAO FIO (1918-2010) was a Sydney optometrist, who qualified in optometry at the Sydney Technical College in 1939 and was one of the pioneers of contact lens practice in Australia. He fitted haptic contact lenses in the 1940s. Later, he designed, produced and marketed his own lens designs and taught many optometrists how to fit contact lenses from the 1950s to the 1970s.
