Metal plate affixed to top of main post reading 'STOCO 1250 UNIVERSAL DRILL PAT. MAR. 25.02 PAT PENDG. STANDARD OPTICAL COMPANY GENEVA N.Y.' Historical Significance: A Stoco Universal drill is illustrated on page 78 of the Stoco Catalogue, which dates from about 1920, (Cat No 137) with directions for use on the following pages 79 to 80.
