Description Of Item: Chestnut coloured plastic (Bakelite ?) covered gold-cased spectacle frame with curl sides, pantoscopic (fulvue) eye shape, adjustable nose pads, curl sides, illegible stamping underneath of bridge, possibly 10/10. Unglazed. Original paper tag reading ' 10/10 O.P.L Made in Germany'. 110 x 40 mm
Historical Significance: This is an excellent example of a style of frame that was popular from the 1920s to the 1950s, and occasionally much later. This one is of the highest quality, being gold-cased.
