Description Of Item: Two plaques (1) Bronzed metal plate 200 x 150 mm recording the naming of the Nathan Library in 1960, engraved with white filled lettering reading 'This library is named the Nathan Library (incorporating the Victorian Optical Association Memorial Library) in appreciation of the long and dedicated service given to the College by Bertram Nathan, Councillor and Treasurer, and by John Nathan as Director of Studies 20 October 1960', and (2) 'Gold metallic' plastic plaque 200 x 60 mm, bearing the words 'The Nathan Library was originally accommodated in a small part of this floor. In 1991 it was provided addiitonal space and reburbished. Mr John Nathan officially re-opened the Library on September 9 1991'
