Historical Significance: This is a brochure for the National Museum of Spectacles located at Gasthuismolensteeg 7, 1016 AM Amsterdam (near the Dam). This is a private museum founded by Jan Teuissen, whose family has been in the optical business for three generations and whose son Mijke Teunissen managesd the museum. It is housed in the three floor shop dating from 1620, the ground floor of which retails spectacle frames from the past 100 years.
