Historical Significance: Book has handwritten inscription on flyleaf 'To my darling Cyril all my love Binnie xxxxxx' dated 24th February 1959. T H Whittington M.D M.R.C.P. D.O.M.S.(1878-1982) is described as Ophthalmic Surgeon, The Royal Eye Hospital formerly Consultant in Ophthalmology, King's College Hospital Teaching Group and Lecturer to the Medical School on the title page. He was a Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps in WW1.
