Historical Significance: Jerome Rosner (1924-2014) was an academic optometrist with a special interest in children's vision.This first edition of this book was very influential, setting mid ground between the views of behavioural optometrists and those with more conservative views on the management of children's eye conditions. Jerome and Joy Rosner were both Professors of Optometry at the University of Houston and also co-authored 'Vision Therapy in a Primary- Care Practice.' Jerome Rosner also wrote a number of important books, principally 'Helping children overcome learning difficulties' , a book highly praised by educators and parents.
