The labeller has labels imprinted Younger IDENTIFRAME and MODEL-B in blue, affixed and M-5 embossed in silver with a blue surround. A white plastic wheel with the alphabet, numerals 2 to 9 / and '.' engraved in blue rotates to allow selection of the required character to be embossed on the gold plastic tape threaded through the labeller. A knurled knob on the side allows advancement of the tape without embossing.The inside lid of the box is imprinted, in blue, with an advertisement for the Younger 22 Seamless lens and instructions on how to obtain supplies of the tape from the manufacturer. Historical Significance: This item demonstrates one of the many methods of labelling spectacle frames available to optometrists. The wear on the face of the embossing wheel suggests that it was used for price labelling.
