Prism powers are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 22 prism deports. Size of box 185 x 100 mm. The prisms were used in vision therapy to train fusional vergence reserves. The prisms were made by placing two sheets of flat plastic of varying widths together to form triangles with calculated apex angles, the space between the sheets being filled with clear resin. The slabs were then cut into smaller sections, measuring approximately 38-54 mm deep and 30-40 mm wide. Historical Significance: Margaret Banks, OAM, was a pioneer in the specialised field of behavioural optometry and was awarded Honorary life member of the ACO in 2018 for her many years of work in helping children with vision and learning difficulties.
