Description Of Item: Light pink spherical and toric round glass meniscus lenses of various powers in original pink packets. 'Soft-Lite Orthosin Corrected lens, Bausch & Lomb made, Trade Mark Reg. U.S. pat. Office, Copr. 1930, Soft-Lite Lens Co. Inc., Made in USA' in green print of front of packet 'Shade 1/B H 37' along with power and thickness stamped in black above green print.'Bausch & Lomb, Optical Co., Rochester NY, USA' in triangular crest between 'No' and '753-1' on back of packets.Lenses 50 mm round, packets 55 mm square.
Historical Significance: Soft-Lite lenses were made by Bausch & Lomb under licence from, and solely for, the Soft_lite Lens Company Inc., N.Y., Toronto and London. They were marketed as being more comfortable in reducing glare and more attractive than clear glass lenses.
