One with label 'C W Kett' affixed to the base, the other with 'Wood-Kett' in pencil on the lower face. Three round 'embossing dies' 25 mm in diameter, one engraved with the coat of arms of the Victorian Optical Association, a second engraved with a shield and 'LUX IN TENEBRIS' (Light in the Darkness) and a black Dymo label embossed M-1 on the side and a third engraved with the coat of arms of the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (A shield surmounted by a pair of hands holding a light source and a ribbon 'A BLESSING TO THE AGED' below the shield) Historical Significance: The donor of these printing blocks and dies, Cyril W Kett, held qualifications from the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (FSMC) the British Optical Association (FBOA) and the Victorian Optical Association (FVOA) and would be entitled to use them on his professional stationery.
