Description Of Item: Original hardcover blue cloth 254 pages plus advertisements. Illustrated. On the front paste down is a bookplate of the Wright Library of the Australian Optometrical Association and the name F.T. Wright hand-written on the title page
Historical Significance: This is a manual on the practice of optometry consisting mostly of case histories. CH Brown was medically qualified and is described on the title page as Professor of Optics and Refraction at an unstated university. He is described as a graduate of the University of Philadelphia, a former physician at the Philadelphia Hospital and a member of the medical society in that State. The Keystone publishing company published a journal called the 'The Keystone' which was the organ of the Jewelry and Optical Trades.
