Description Of Item: Certificate No. 8 of the Licentiate of Optometric Science (LOSc) dated 12th April 1949 awarded by the Australian College of Optometry to Margaret Mc Neill Lindo. Signed by L.H. Angior, FVOA (Chairman) and Douglas G. Allen, LOSc (Secretary). Framed in a wooden frame with glass 572 mm x 515 mm.
Historical Significance: Margaret Banks, OAM, was a pioneer in the specialised field of behavioural optometry and was awarded Honorary life member of the ACO in 2018 for her many years of work in helping children with vision and learning difficulties.This is one of a suite of ceriticates awarded to Margaret over her working lifetime.
