Historical Significance: David Wells MD was Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Boston University Medical School and Ophthalmic Surgeon Massachusetts Homeopathic Hospital, Boston. See also: 'Stereoscopic Treatment of Heterophoria and Heterotropia' by David Wells M.D. Catalogue No. 344 Orthoptics first became popular in Europe in the 1900s. Dr Wells is credited with introducing orthoptics to the U.S. in 1912.
