Description Of Item: White rayon ribbon 2300 mm x 75 mm imprinted with 77 multicoloured images of the logos of the Kett Optometry Museum and the Australian College of Optometry.
Historical Significance: Approximately half of the ceremonial ribbon cut by Anthony Carbines, Victorian parliamentary secretary of health, at the opening of the Aitken Gallery of the Kett Optometry Museum and Archive on Monday, 20th May 2019. The public exhibition gallery was named after long term honorary archivist and benefactor of the Kett Museum, Michael Aitken.
