Description Of Item: Two four page pamphlets and one single sheet, each 180 mm x 250 mm, containing price lists and terms of sale for (A) Corneal Lenses, (B) Bionite Naturalens and (C) Contact lens accessories. (A) dated 11/ October 1971, (B) date 1 March 1972 (C) dated 21 February 1972.
Historical Significance: International Optical Corporation Ltd was a manufacturer and distributor of optical goods with a branch in Melbourne. The Bionite Naturalens was an early hydrophilic contact lens developed by Allan Isen, of Griffin Laboratories, initially as a bandage lens with a water content of 55%, then as a corrective lens in 1972. The lens was distributed in Australia by IOC.
