The cover includes 'BAUSCH & LOMB/ Scientific Optical Products Division' and company logo of a solid black triangle in a circle. Handwritten on front cover in blue ink '13/7/87'.Title page refers to B&L catalogue nos 71-78-40 & 71-78-41. Dimensions 222 x 146 mm. The phoropter illustrated in this manual has a smooth cream enamel finish. Page 3 lists available colors of Jade Green, Cream White, Biscayne Blue and Satin Black.
Historical Significance: The Greens' Refractor was designed by A S Green MD, L D Green MD & M I Green MD and was granted a patent in1932. The Greens' Refractor was very popular for many decades. Production stopped in the late 1970s, although many Greens' Refractors remained in use into the 21st century.
