Historical Significance: US ophthalmologists David Harrington and Milton Flocks developed a visual field screening system in 1954 which used tachistoscopic presentation of ultra violet sensitive stimulus spots. Flocks helped develop new ophthalmological techniques and was possibly the first surgeon to use a laser for photocoagulation.US patent provides more detail and images of the test apparatus.
