Two round black cloth pads and a slot for a lens suction holder are in the lower part of the base. Samples are numbered from 1 to 9 with colour descriptions 'Verde, Avocado, Leaf, Mauve, Hazel, Dawn, Regal, Siamese, and Dusk in numerical order. Lid of case lined in padded white sateen. Historical Significance: A range of cosmetic PMMA lenses developed by Merton Flom recognised for his research on the oxygen requirements of the cornea.
