Description Of Item: White plastic rectangular gauge 71 mm x 36 mm x 6 mm with one face imprinted tama inc. Chicago, Ill. And a conversion scale Points to Inches from 0.5/0.002 to 6.0/0.024 and two wells12 mm diameter marked R and L.The other face has two tapered slots one with a scale 8 to 10 the other 10 to 12 in mm with 0.1 mm divisions.
Historical Significance: Gauge used to measure the diameter of corneal contact lenses by sliding the lens along tapered groove until it cannot be moved. The diameter of the lens in millimetres is read off the scale.
