Description Of Item: White flat 'mailer' case 50 mm x 50 mm x 10 mm embossed 'Replace SOACLENS prior to restorage on the face with a label adhered to the back containing lens parameters for the clear lenses of PMMA material contained in the compartments. Right lens power -4.25 and left lens power -2.75
Historical Significance: Wohlk Contact Linsen of Kiel West Germany was formed in 1948 by Heinrich Wohlk, an engineer. Wohlk Contact Lenses Pty Ltd was the Australian distributor, initially importing lenses from Germany, then Singapore when a manufacturing facility was built there. Australian production followed in the 1970's. Wohlk was acquired by Bausch and Lomb in 2000.
