Historical Significance: Ren-O-Gel was an early system developed for cleaning protein and lipid deposits from soft contact lenses. It was successful when used on 38% HEMA lenses but tended to damage later higher water content material lenses. This kit appears to be an amalgam of several kits indicated by the inclusion of extra components and a second instruction sheet. Flow Pharmaceuticals originated the system which was later taken over by Alcon Universal Ltd. Liprofin was a later development and less destructive. See Cat 3432
