Description Of Item: Set of five vials with white plastic screw caps each containing a tinted 38% HEMA soft contact lens. Each vial has a black and gold printed label attached. Each label has a Capricornia logo and the words Capricornia Contact Lens Pty Ltd, 4 Paxton St Springwood 4127 Queensland Australia, A vision of Excellence, Soft Contact Lens and Autoclaved in 0.9% NaCl printed in gold. A white section of each label is printed with Omega 38 Sphere and lens parameters and colour code. BCORs are 8.0 mm to 8.8 mm in 0.2 mm steps, Diameter 14.0 mm Power -3.00 D Visible Iris Diameter 11.5 mm and colours Brown, Green, Aqua, Blue and Amber.
Historical Significance: Capricornia Contact Lens Pty Ltd was set up by Don Noack to develop and manufacture lenses of his designs including spheres, torics and multifocals. These lenses are early example of Capricornia products.
