Description Of Item: Clear flat flexible plastic rule 187 mm x 28 mm with one rounded end and the other tapered at 35 degrees with a 5 mm notch. The lower edge has a 110 degree cut-out 8 mm deep midway along it. Various graduations printed in millimetres allow measurement of pupillary distance, monocular pupillary distance and pupil in a spectacle frame. The words Sola Graduate in black and a Sola logo in green appear on a white section of the rule.
Historical Significance: A dispensing rule designed to enable accurate fitting of varifocal lenses to a patient's frame. Sola Graduate lenses were launched in 1984, production ceased c 1998. PD rules of the same basic construction are found in Cat. Nos. 3468 and 3569.
