The near point tasks are (1) printed text in Jaeger sizes J 8, J 10 and J 12, (2) printed text in Jaeger sizes J 14, J 16, J 18 and J 20, (3) black cloth with two rows of stitching of differing fineness, (4) and (5) newspaper extracts one a financial page and the other ordinary newspaper text with the date 1947, (6) an extract from a telephone directory, (7) musical notation, (8) a hand of playing cards in colour. (9) a hand-written ledger in blue ink and red rules, (10) rows and columns of numbers, (11) shorthand in grey pencil and (12) Courier typescript. No markings to indicate the maker.
