Description Of Item: Unglazed shell Atrio woman's spectacle frame, 140 x 48 mm, with gold coloured corner trims, saddle bridge and hockey sides. Marked on right temple 'ATRIO FMG A11 and ' ATRIO GERMANY' plus a sticker reading '270-803 56/14' and marked on left temple 'Mod 270 803 130. The right bridge pad is marked 56/14 A and the left pad '270 803'. There is a mark-down sticker on the outside of the right temple inscribed '$127.50' (crossed out) and '$64'.
Historical Significance: The Ferdinand Menrad Group (FMG) is a manufacturer, importer and exporter of quality spectacle frames. It was founded in 1896 and is a family business over four generation of the Menrad family. The company works with established business partners all around the world.
