Description Of Item: Translucent brown coloured (692) shell men's library style spectacle frame, 120 x 45 mm, fitted with zero power plastic template 'lenses (not corrective lenses), saddle bridge, hockey sides with elastic 'springs'. Marked inside of the right side '145 Elasta 1026 / FRAME / Italy 693' and inside the left side '145' which is the side length and on the bridge '46/18'
Historical Significance: Safilo Group S.p.A. is an Italian company that designs, produces and distributes prescription frames, sunglasses, sports eyewear, ski goggles and helmets, and cycling helmets under its own five house brands and 22 licensed brands. It was founded in 1934 after Guglielmo Tabacchi purchased Italy's first industrial complex for producing lenses and frames in Pieve di Cadore.
