Description Of Item: (A) Translucent plastic bottle with white cap, 130 mm high and 65 mm diameter, marked Simplex Rapid Acrylic Denture Repair Material for Repair,Relines and Additions, Made in England by Denture Fillings Limited, London N16 on the front and Guaranteed to comply with the A.D.A. specification No. 13, Approx. weight of powder 225 gm, ZSOASE on the back. The bottle is half filled with a fine white powder. (B) Brown glass bottle with lack cap, 140 mm high and 50 mm in diameter with navy, red and white paper label imprinted with Liquid, Workshop Packet, Cold Curing, Simplex Rapid Acrylic for repairs, relines and Additions, Complies with A.D.A. specifications No. 13, Made in England by Dental Fillings Ltd., London N.16 and a DFL logo. (C) A white plastic nozzle cap for use with the liquid. Cap not in gallery display.
Historical Significance: Dental moulding materials were found to be ideal for taking impressions of eyes as well as making moulds on which to form scleral lenses from Perspex sheets.
