Description Of Item: Heine Miroflex direct ophthalmoscope with chromed handle with twinned DC power connection leads. Black plastic head, white knurled plastic Rekoss disc of lenses, 5 position aperture selector and sliding C-F selector. Heine company logo printed in white with the word 'Miroflex'. Dimensions: 190 x 45 mm.
Historical Significance: Helmut A Heine founded the Heine company in 1946 in Herrsching, Germany. The first instruments made by the company were a hand-held otoscope and a direct ophthalmoscope.
