Description Of Item: Rectangular black plastic plate 72 mm x 45 mm x2 mm with the numbers 8, 9, 9.5, 10, 11, and 11.5, Nippon Kagaku and Nikon embossed on the surface. Above each number is a recess 1.5 mm deep of the same diameter in mm and a flange of slightly smaller diameter 0.5 mm thick.
Historical Significance: Plate was an accessory for a focimeter to hold corneal lenses in order to measure their dioptric power.
