Historical Significance: Saul Sugar was a leader in the field of glaucoma in the mid 20th C. He was the director of the Glaucoma Clinic at the Receiving Clinic, Detroit and Assistant Professor in ophthalmology at Wayne University Medical School Detroit. The first edition of this book was published in 1951 and was an influential book in its time.
