Description Of Item: Clip-on rimless polarised sunglass with metal mount to attach to spectacles. Grey-green plastic polarised lenses shaped to match ladies 1970's style frame. Soft case of beige plastic with woven texture and burgundy press stud. Case exterior has the brand 'Polaroid' printed in burgundy. Case has burgundy velvet lining and clear internal plastic bridge support. Owner's name in ink 'A BOYCE'. Dimensions of clip-on: 121 x 41 mm.
Historical Significance: Edward Land patented his invention of modern filters to polarise light in 1929. He founded the Polaroid Corporation in 1937.
