Historical Significance: Optometrists Association Australia had published a national journal since the Association was founded in 1918. Its current title was Clinical and Experimental Optometry. It aimed to be a research journal of good scholarly standard, but it was struggling in the closing decades of the 20th century because it was not well supported by optometry academics who understandably preferred to submit their research papers to well established and better known international journals. This report was commissioned by Optometrists Association Australia to explore the options open to Journal. It was the beginning of a remarkable renewal in the fortunes of the Journal. How Acquired: Donated by Barry Cole Date Acquired: Jan 2017 Condition: Good Location: Archive office. Pamphlet and ephemera filing cabinet. Drawer 7 |
