Description Of Item: White cardboard box 79 mm x 51 mm x 20 mm printed on the large faces and top with AODISC in purple and Ciba vision One replacement disc for use with the Aosept one-step disinfecting system for all contact lenses in blue. Narrow faces give instructions for use and replacement of the Aodisc in the original AoSept cup and addresses of Ciba Vision in Australia and New Zealand. Box contains one disc in blister pack and a sticker designed to adhere to the base of the Aosept cup with a three month replacement date to be written by the user.
Historical Significance: The AoSept disinfection system for soft contact lenses was a single step system using hydrogen peroxide solution which was neutralised to normal saline by a catalyst impregnated plastic 'disc'of this type. See Cat. No. 2929
