This was a standard text on optical dispensing in the 1950s. Sasieni was a Fellow of the British Optical Association and of the Spectacle Makers Company and was in the 1950s senior refractionist at the London Refraction Hospital (now the Institute of Optometry), a registered charity established in 1922.
