A Start button and two status lights (On and Time) are on an angled panel on the top of the unit. Top of unit marked Eltrosonic Contact Cleaner; bottom marked Eltrosonic Contact Cleaner 220V 50 Hz 5W Eltrosonic GmbH Victoriastrasse 23, 6200 Wiesbaden, Telefon (061 21) 305465. A white lead with grey 3 pin plug is attached. All contained in a white polystyrene case 200 x 140 x 75 mm with printed colour cardboard sleeve labelled Contact Cleaner fur Kontaktlinsen von Eltrosonic and a function description in German on front and instructions and guarantee in German on the back. Historical Significance: Ultrasonic contact lens cleaners were designed to avoid manual cleaning of contact lenses but were not particularly efficient.
