Description Of Item: Amber moulded plastic eye bath of simple bowl shape. Base marked 'OPTREX 6 REGD DESIGN No 769870'. 48mmW x 34mmH x 32mmD.
Historical Significance: The Optraex/Optrex trademark was first registered in France & England in 1931. English eye baths were made by United Glass in St Helens, Lancashire until about 1965 when they were replaced with blue plastic. The amber colour was introduced in the mid 1970's.
