Historical Significance: In 1986 Wesley Jessen introduced the dot matrix method of opaque lens tints to change eye colour. Former lens tints were transparent and could enhance some eye colours but had no effect on dark eyes. The central area of the lens was clear to allow normal vision. Trial sets like this were used to demonstrate the eye colour change possible. Later variations provided a more natural look to the colour change with darker limbal rings and graded pupil margin effects. Durasoft 2 were 38% water content, Durasoft 3, 55%.
