Description Of Item: White hinged plastic box 165 x 80 x 24 mm with the words Gelflex 60, Western Australian Contact Lens Manufacturing and the company's address on the face containing four two cell screw top cases each cap having lens parameters hand written on a pre-printed label. Base Curves are 8.2mm to 8.8mm in 0.2mm steps, diameters are 13.5 mm and 14.0 mm, all 60 % water content. A lens handling device is included in a separate container within the set.
Historical Significance: Western Australian Contact Lens Manufacturing produced Gelflex contact lenses from 1971. It was founded by Don Ezekiel, a pioneer in contact lens manufacture and fitting in Australia.
