Each binocular eyeshield is mounted on heavy fabric with a felt brow cushion stapled in place and an adjustable blue elastic headband.The front of the packet carries instructions for Personal Decontamination. The reverse side has instructions for Gas Alarm Procedures and 'H.P. 7/1943'. The brass press studs are marked 'NEWEY BROTHERS LTD B'HAM' and 'NEWEY PAT 201430-22'. H:208mm x W:118mm. Historical Significance: James George Newey registered several British patents including 123952 of 13th March 1919 and 201430 of 25th August 1922 for 'Improvements in and relating to Spring Press Studs or Fasteners'.
