Description Of Item: Tall moulded glass pedestal eye bath of inverted helmet shape, with 8 fluted panels around body, octagonal stem and round foot. Several bubble faults are included in the stem and foot. No marks. This shape is attributed to the Kimble Glass Company by Sturrock. H:73mm x W:47mm x D:47mm.
Historical Significance: The Kimble Glass Company of Vineland, New Jersey, specialised in supplying druggists glassware. This shape of eye bath is shown in their catalogues of 1914-1919. Ref: Eye Baths, George Sturrock, 2012, Millstream Books.
