Description Of Item: Cuboid projector unit, and stand 240 x 300 x 210 mm, in black semi-gloss finish with hinged grey side panels. Side panels can be unllocked for access to light source, mechanical components including slide disc and electrical components. Front panel contains an on/off switch, release knob for slide disc and adjustable focussing tube secured in position by knurled screws (one missing). Tube can be elongated by 120 mm. Top panel contains recess for remote control unit with separate rocker switches for Chart, Line, Axis and Lamp on/off. Back panel has facility for power cord storage.
Historical Significance: Chart projectors were an alternative to internally illuminated charts or wall charts and allowed adjustment for shorter examination rooms and did not require a mirror for the shorter rooms.
