Description Of Item: Small rimless pince-nez with fused bifocal lenses approx R and L +2.00 D sph add +2.50 D, gold spring bridge with indecipherable stamping on back. A gold chain with ear hook is attached to the right lens. Contained in a small metal snap case covered in black grained fabric and black velvet lining. Under the lid is a label reading PHONE BWK 806 / E.PARKER / WATCHMAKER JEWELLER / & RADIO SUPPLIES / 360 SYDNEY RD COBURG
Historical Significance: The optician practised in Coburg from the 1920s until he died in 1966. He had been registered in 1936 under Sction 8 0f the Act
